When I was in the very first grade, I had my Bible reading plan. I devoured the Bible with enthusiasm. If only I could have a sort of "reading plan" to go along with my favorite Bible passages... Well, I can say that I definitely would have enjoyed them more! This article will give you some ideas on what to add to your Bible reading plan.

How many times are you at church and end up drifting off? It happens to everyone. When that happens, it is always the right time to sit down with a good book and have a few quiet moments. So, what exactly is your Bible reading plan? You must create one which encompasses all the major events in your life.
You might want to have a plan for every activity that takes place in your life. For example, if you have a birthday coming up, then you might want to make plans for a trip to an amusement park, or perhaps a family day out. Maybe, it is even a special family vacation you want to accomplish. If you want to achieve your dream of studying the Bible for years, then you might wish to add some serious study time to your plan.

You might even decide that you need some structure to your chronological bible reading plan. Some religious leaders recommend that you read one Bible per week, and some even recommend that you read three Bible books in one week. The important thing is that you develop a Bible reading plan that works for you!

A Bible reading plan should not be too complicated. The Bible was written to be simple for us. The more simple it is, the easier it is on the mind.

I found that the best Bible reading plan was one which gave me various choices as to where to read. I could choose a certain verse and read it two or three different ways. I could also choose to read a certain part of a chapter or book in a certain way. This gave me time to stop and think about what I had read, so I would remember it later when I refreshed my memory.

Another great tip I found was to read at least two times daily, rather than just once or twice. The more you read, the more familiar it will become for you. The Bible was written so that we could read God's word daily. You don't have to do it that often, but doing it daily will make it more likely that you will continue to read daily. The next step is to read aloud. When I read aloud, I can hear God talking to me in my mind. Sometimes it's very difficult to hear exactly what He's saying. Ask him if you can have a mirror and read the Bible while you're holding the book in your hand. That will make it easier to hear Him talk.

Finally, develop your own Bible reading plan. Start with a little research and see what you can find. There's plenty of material out there for you to draw from. Just take the time to discover what God has planned for you! It'll enrich your life and bring you closer to His presence.
