Chronological Bible reading is the opposite of chronological books. chronological books are those that tell a story or saga in the form of a book or section of a book, such as the book of Acts, the book of Moses, or the book of Jerusalem. chronological bible reading is usually found in families who can still recall the name of the person or persons who authored the Bible book they are reading. However, the person does not have to be a family member, just someone whom you trust to give you a trustworthy Bible story. In fact, the stories of the Bible, especially the Bible in chronological order, are often ignored by non-believers simply because it lacks "proof."

Reading the bible in chronological order, as a story, has been proven to support many biblical events. If a person wants to learn about the birth of Jesus or the life of the Bible character, for example, he or she can find a specific biblical account concerning the time period during which this event took place. Additionally, historical facts and other data from the Bible can be used to prove other biblical events.

Another advantage to reading through the Bible in the correct order is that the text does not confuse the reader as much. There are four main categories of Biblical texts. They are Old Testament, New Testament, Middle Eastern/Jewish and Western Bible. In each group of the Bible there are twenty-four books, plus a book of the Bible to keep track of the extra books. In order for a reader to gain insight into the life of Jesus or the Bible characters, he or she must start at the beginning, which is the book of Genesis. Each book of the Bible has a certain amount of time before it becomes outdated.

A chronological Bible book usually has sections designated from the Old Testament, New Testament, and the Middle East/ Judean Bible. Usually each section has a particular book of the Bible to read. However, some Bible authors wrote one book and wrote an introduction, followed by a section on their most important life events. Then they wrote a section relating to what they learned about that person, things they observed, etc. Afterwards, the books are ranked by relevance.

After reading through all the sections, a reader can pick the section that he or she enjoys the most. At this point, it's time to have a discussion with a friend or clergyperson over dinner or coffee. The entire conversation can revolve around the different sections of the Bible, the insights gained, etc. Then the reader can take home a book with a new understanding of the Bible or someone who shared some thoughts with him or her.

A chronological bible reading plan requires dedication, diligence, and a certain amount of knowledge about the subject, but it is well worth the effort. The more a reader knows about the subject, the more she or he will be able to connect with others who also enjoy the Bible. If one is looking to share the knowledge learned while reading the Bible, a church may offer private groups, Sunday school classes, or summer camps to help those who want to learn. No matter how many books one reads, it is important to remember that the most important aspect of reading the Bible is having fun.
